Is God a homophobe? (part 3)

While the previous two blogs have considered the moral implications of the homosexual lifestyle with some detail, what we have not yet looked at is exactly how God sees and deals with people in this lifestyle, we also need to look at the final outcome of living in this way.

To answer the question posed in this blog series, “is God a homophobe”? The answer is no, probably in the first place because God does not acknowledge or recognize this behavior as a lifestyle, He would see it for what it is, a habitual sin parading as a lifestyle. So to summarize, God simply sees the people involved in such a relationship as living in habitual, cognitive sin.

In terms of man’s interaction with sin on a daily basis there are two ways we can err, we do so by means of sins of “commission” and sins of “omission”. Homosexual behavior falls in the category of sins of commission. This means that people who engage in this behavior are willingly and repeatedly sinning by choice.

If you recall from the first installment of this blog that God dealt harshly with Sodom and Gomorrah because the perversion of their actions. The first problem in these cities was their deliberate anti – God activity, by turning from the natural desire God put in men and woman, which is the desire for the opposite sex, they rebelled against God’s design, taking pleasure from the perversion, not even the activity itself but rather the perversion. This proves to be the highest form of rebellious and perverted behavior that man can engage in before God.

This then logically constitutes a sin of commission.

Does God hate homosexuals? no, does He hate the sin they engage in? Absolutely.

God is personally able to separate His hate of their sin from His love for them but unfortunately the story is not that simple. You see God is righteous, that means that His ways and standards are perfect, they are unable to be tampered with, He cannot accept sin in His presence. Now logically every human being stands condemned before God due to the residue of sin that infiltrates their being.

The great news is that Jesus sacrifice covers our sin as we journey within the confines of time and space along the path of sanctification, which is the preparation of our being for the ultimate destiny of man which is glorification at the marriage supper of the Lamb, with Jesus. You cannot expect that you will be a part of that sequence of events if you are knowingly counter acting God’s standards.

This is where homosexuals have a problem. By virtue of their “lifestyle” they disqualify themselves from being able to follow this path. Instead they put themselves squarely in opposition to God and therefore as recipients of the full force of God’s righteous judgement.

In the position the homosexuals find themselves they are without and grounds of authority or rights in God’s eyes. You see it is easy to guilt – trip people on earth as well as to pressurize societies to accept behaviors such as homosexuality as being okay. This is possible on human terms where as it is we have very little concept of the true effect and nature of sin in itself combined with it’s affect on the heart of God.

We are able to delude ourselves into thinking we have authority and control that has never been a reality. Biblical history going right back to Adam and Eve proves how strong this delusion of human supremacy by means of manipulating God and His standards can run. However, when the story plays out and the effects of the people’s actions come full circle we find out that God has the final say and the final say is subject to God’s perfect nature and righteousness.

No matter how many movies, sitcoms, reality shows, gay parades, constitutional changes happen in this world, God’s standards will remain as they always have. No matter how many “homosexual churches” are established or how many church denominations employ homosexual pastors, God’s standard will not have been altered or manipulated in any way.

Right now, I believe God’s heart aches for these lost souls, He loves them as dearly as He does those who follow His plan. This is something Satan has cottoned onto and used to deepen the delusion for homosexuals. By playing the grace card, homosexuals are finding new in roads into what they believe is a new community within Christianity. I offer this consideration, do you think if Adam or Eve had any hint of the seriousness of their sin in the Garden that they would have followed through with the act?

I think not, so the question you have to ask yourself is how well designed has the lie got to be to get you to feel comfortable, even excited to engage in it with the deluded belief that all will be fine? I think Satan knows the answer to that since the lie is all He has ever had to work with and as we can see, it serves him well.

There is no salvation apart from Jesus and in the salvation offered by Jesus there is no deviating from the plan of God established before the foundations of the earth.  In relation to the procreation of man on earth as a command by God this means that the only acceptable pattern of sexual and emotional engagement between two people that is sanctioned by God is that of two people of the opposite sex coming together, with the biological and emotional make up to constitute a heterosexual union.

I am so sure that God’s plan and pattern is unchanging that I am going to say this, the day a woman is able to make a woman pregnant, without the help of a third party, that being a male sperm donor and when a man is able to make another man pregnant, without the help of a surrogate, then can we revisit this idea of God’s unchanging plan and pattern for mankind.

Let me make it clear, this should be achievable without a single interference of any kind of biological and scientific effort on the part of man. Since the ability of the heterosexual couple to achieve this miracle was possible under healthy conditions, without these interferences.

Until such a point my advice to those caught in this delusion is to come out, leave the ranks of the next “gay parade”, inform your partner of the error of your ways and repent before God. Get the support, counseling and teaching you need to get you to a place of security and healing but please stop deluding yourself.
